Most people know them for their instrumental rock hits in the 60s like "Apache" and "Wonderful Land", but few know they could also sing and got 2nd place in Eurovision Song Contest 1975 with this song.
3/10 Honestly sounds like an early Beatles B-side.
Low Roar - Don't be so serious
Been playing Death Stranding almost religiously since it came out. The gameplay might no be for everyone, but the soundtrack and the atmosphere is unmatched by anything else.
That was not the voice I expected (doesn't match his appearance). Instrumentally it's a bit too simple and repetitive for my taste. There's nothing that really grabs me about this one.
Rating: 5/10
It's that time of the year again. I bring you a Norwegian Christmas classic (released in 2010, but still):
3/10 too early for Xmas stuff for me, but I'm in a different time zone. I did like the start where the accordion was going.. prior to the singing. So like the first 5 seconds?
Huey Lewis and the News - "While We're Young" (Live at Coney Island)
They recently released this song as a single and will be included on their upcoming album Weather in 2020, but I prefer the live version because it has the sax solo.
8/10 if I heard this at a bar I'd be super stoked! Kinda jamariquai-ish.
So I bought this USB HDD reader thingy off amazon and recovered like 20 days of music off my old drives. Found some great gems from my college days back in the 2000's.
This was my favorite song for 2006ish. Reminds me of taking weekend trips from Stockton, CA to see my girlfriend at UCSC, heavy rains and loads of trees...
Not my style of music or a fan of how this is mixed (instrumental is too loud and almost drowns out the vocals).
Rating: 5/10
Eva Weel Skram - "Selmas sang"
Selma's song
Do you long to get away from the great gray emptyness? The road is long, but I know that you're able to walk Within you there burns a star so strong and clear In its light you shall find your way back to what once was
Fly like a bird Make yourself a path So that you can come home to me You can walk many miles But where do you belong? Where do you belong?
Raindrops fall and the fall takes the colours away You are endlessly small, but the hope is large I belong to you and thus it will always be I dream that soon you're here and lay your hand safely in mine
So fly like a bird Make yourself a path So that you can come home to me Hear my song Soon you'll be warm You can fall asleep in my arms You can walk many miles If you know what you want But where do you belong?
So fly like a bird Make yourself a path So that you can come home to me And hear my song Soon you'll be warm You can fall asleep in my arms You can walk many miles If you know what you want But where do you belong?
Love the guitar, vocals like a 5/10. Beat is good at 00:37. I can always appropriate a song that incorporates the sax. Overall I rate this a 8/10.

Not enough percussion for my taste, good piano nevertheless, could fit in a movie soundtrack pretty well
5/10

"A Horse with No Name"- America
I know it's a popular song (one-hit wonder), but I personally don't find anything special about it, therefore I can't give it higher than 7/10.
Eagles - "Nightingale"
One of my favorite deep cuts from their catalogue. The song was written by Jackson Browne.
7/10 quite good. Will have to listen to more of their deep cuts.
In memory of the greatest to do it, Neil Peart.
10/10 - I can't give less than that. Sad to hear that he's gone. Died way too young...
Rush - "La Villa Strangiato"
(R.I.P. Neil Peart)
10/10 he was a legend
Agnus Dei - Samuel Barber
Vlaams Radiokoor
Marcus Creed, conductor
